Step 1
Server Installation
The Embrace Server update will download a self-extracting file that
contains the latest files to be placed into the update directory on the server.
On a Windows Server
Extract this file and copy the extracted files into the
EMBRACE.1x.x/client/programs directory overwriting the existing files.
On a Unix Server
Extract this file on a PC and transfer the extracted files via FTP into
the EMBRACE.1x.x/client/programs directory overwriting the existing files.
NB
All .exe and .dll files must be copied using the FTP binary
mode.
All other files must be copied using the FTP ascii mode.
Step 2
The PC Installation CD is a self-extracting file that will create
a standard set of setup files. Extract this file and then run Setup to install a
version of the Embrace Desktop on a client PC or a Windows Terminal Server.
Please read the following information when installing the Embrace Desktop on Windows Vista and Windows 7
Step 3
Run the Embrace Desktop on the PC and follow any download instructions
that appear to complete the update. To confirm which Desktop version is running
click on Help|About in the Desktop to see the current version number.
