The Beginners Report Writer course is a prerequisite for the Intermediate and Advanced Report Writer courses and for all UniVerse Basic courses for programmers who are new to the database environment.

• Duration : 2 days
• Students will be introduced to the UniVerse relational database environment
• On completion a student will be able to extract data into meaningful reports using the database tools and commands and be conversant with the line editor

The Intermediate Report Writer course is a prerequisite for the Advanced Report Writer course and all UniVerse Basic courses for programmers who are new to the database environment.

Candidates must have successfully completed the Beginners Report Writer course or have relevant experience.

• Duration : 3 days
• Students will learn to use the ACS-Embrace toolset to produce reports which conform to the ERP system standards and norms.
• Students will learn to construct and use non-data type fields in customised dictionaries.
• Students will acquire an understanding of the structure and relationships of the ACS-Embrace data files.

This course is a prerequisite for the UniVerse Basic 2 and 3 programming courses and for the Advanced report writer course .

Candidates must have successfully completed the Beginners and Intermediate Report Writer courses or have relevant experience.

• Duration : 5 days
• Students will be able to write a program that produces a report.

This course is a prerequisite for the UniVerse Basic 3 programming course and for the Advanced report writer course .

Candidates must have successfully completed the Beginners and Intermediate Report Writer courses and the UniVerse Basic 1 course or have relevant experience.

• Duration : 5 days
• Students will acquire an understanding of subroutines and dimensioned arrays
• Students will be able to produce an interactive screen that accepts data, writes to a file and prints a document

This course is a prerequisite for the Advanced report writer course .

Candidates must have successfully completed the Beginners and Intermediate Report Writer courses and the UniVerse Basic 1 and 2 courses or have relevant experience.

• Students will be able to convert a non graphical program into a graphical program

Candidates must have successfully completed the Beginners and Intermediate Report Writer courses and the UniVerse Basic 1, 2 and 3 courses or have relevant experience.

• Students will learn to create dictionary items which call UniVerse Basic subroutines.
• Students will learn to use non data dictionary items in a UniVerse Basic program
