The quest for better service is supported by extensive marketing database facilities with links to sales call monitoring, contacts databases and mailshots via auto faxing, E-mail and print. Comprehensive matrices of sales prices and discounts can be created across customers, customer groups, products and product groups. Matrices can include prices based on quantities and contracts with special product promotions. Alternate sales allow orders to be filled by other branches or plants while recognising the sale at the ordering location. Products may be configured as the sales order is being processed, which results in unique made-to-order items. Products can be tracked and sold direct from sample, consignment, loan and demonstration stocks.
